Since stepping onto Canadian soil in 1991, our chef has passionately brought authentic Taiwanese and Sichuan flavors to Vancouver. Trained by seasoned masters in Taiwan, he established Kalvin’s Restaurant in 1993, dedicated to preserving genuine culinary traditions.

Overcoming early challenges—ingredient limitations, differing tastes, and customer spice tolerance—our chef creatively blended sauces and customized spice levels, bringing authentic Taiwanese and Sichuan cuisine to the local community.
